Bio
Chris Meyer is an NCCP level 2 certified softball coach who has been involved in coaching various sports for almost 20 years including baseball, basketball and of course softball. Chris started coaching his two daughters for many years before moving into a non-parent coaching role. He coached and was a board member with the travel ball organization Calgary Adrenaline from 2014 until joining the SAIT Trojans in 2023. Teams coached by Chris have competed across Canada and the U.S., including several at Canadian Championships. Chris's thirst for continuing his coaching education has taken him to Portland, Vancouver, across Alberta and through online clinics that have included some of the world’s best players and coaches. Chris’s coaching philosophy involves finding new ways to relay skills and strategies so it will resonate with the individual athletes. He wants to put the athletes in positions to succeed but also push them out of their comfort zones to help them learn and continue to grow as both athletes and people.
