O'Dwyer 'baffled' by Trojans effort
CALGARY, ALTA., (Oct. 19, 2019) - SAIT Trojans women's volleyball coach Art O'Dwyer has had better nights.
The Trojans were beaten soundly by the visiting Lethbridge College Kodiaks 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-14) in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) action played Saturday night at SAIT's Campus Centre. The loss comes just one night after the Trojans dominated the Kodiaks 3-1, so it's safe to say O'Dwyer had questions for his team after.
"Lethbridge completely changed how they played, and we made enough errors to give them the match," he said after the game. "I can't imagine how many errors we made. . . I'm baffled to be honest with you."
SAIT falls to 1-2 on the season. Lethbridge College improves to 1-1.
"We were individuals on the court tonight; every one of us in our own little world," O'Dwyer added.
Jaydn Leong (3rd year, Calgary, Business Administration) led the Trojans with 11 kills and 10 digs.
Kylie Morrison led the Kodiaks with eight kills.
SAIT returns to the court next weekend with a home-and-home series against Olds College - Friday night in Olds, Saturday night at home.
